The calculator is only as good as your weighing

Everything above rests on one assumption: that your dose is what you think it is. If you measure with a chashaku, it is not. The variation between scoops reaches 20 or 30%, so the cost per cup you see here can be out by the same margin.

The Brencco 500 g scale reading to 0.01 g (see the price on Amazon) reads 0.01 g and goes up to 500 g, with a tare to subtract the weight of the bowl. That is more than enough for 2 g: at that scale a 5 kg kitchen scale is working in the last thousandth of its range and is not reliable.
